Quality Care in under 30 minutes

No one looks forward to a trip to the emergency room. Hours of waiting. Crowded waiting rooms. Uncomfortable surroundings. Enhancements to our Emergency Department implemented in September of 2009 have allowed Bayonne Medical Center to set a new standard in emergency care. With a newly implemented electronic medical record, our patients are now triaged and registered at the bedside, eliminating unnecessary waits and making our waiting room virtually obsolete.

Under the guidance of Mark Spektor, DO, MBA, FACEP, Emergency Department Chief, and Kevin Hawkins, RN, Emergency Department Nurse Manager, emergency services have been updated and improved to provide the highest standards of care. Our newly implemented Quick Care Unit program is now providing door to provider ER care in 30 minutes or less. We've added more staff nurses to reduce wait times and to help facilitate the transition from emergency services to patient care. We also put in place a Hospitality Associate who will help us continually improve our level of caring through patient surveys and patient input.

In times of emergency, the last thing you need to worry about is insurance. Be assured, the Emergency Department at Bayonne Medical Center accepts ALL insurance programs.
